Roll off trailer & Truck hoist Testimonials

Thanks Dave,

I purchased an EZ16 TR roll-off trailer and a 10 and 20 yard container from Nedland Industries in May, 2010 for our startup company.  I got the gooseneck and semi-auto tarp options.  I made this purchase only after several months of research on many different types of equipment from several companies.  It is worth mentioning that I live in California, about 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, so I was really trying to find something close to home. In fact, I did find a company only about 2 hours away that made a similar product, so that was a strong consideration. Long story short, I was very impressed with the Nedland products and the information they were able to provide over the phone and via email.  I purchased everything sight unseen (other than detailed pictures). I drove 2,300 miles to Wisconsin and arrived on a Saturday morning to pick up my items.  The next part was amazing.  Dave was the only one working that day and gave me a complete tour of the facility.  I had pictured a "mom & pop" company in a barn or something.  What I discovered was a huge, very modern facility, complete with robotic welders and machines to make poly cans and bins, which exports products all over the world.  I quickly realized that my order was likely very small in terms of dollar amount compared to most this company receives.  Yet, I was given the same respect and attention as anybody else. Dave even took the time to go into the history of the building during its life in the dairy industry. After the tour, Dave personally assisted me in securing everything for a safe trip back to California.

The equipment:  The EZ roll-off trailers are the best in the industry, period.  The bins are well made and still look great.  I have a friend who is a welder and fabricator and makes everything from oil storage vessels to custom race car chassis.  He was one of the first people I showed my trailer off too.  He was very impressed with the build quality and pointed out a few things that I hadn't seen, like a cross break on the rear door of the bin which adds strength.  The attention to detail is second to none.  I get compliments everywhere I go.  When I arrive at a job site to drop off or pick up a bin, people are amazed by the remote control system and how well everything works. A year and a half later, everything works and looks like it did when it was new.  The only thing I added was a simple hour meter to the engine so I could determine service intervals a little easier.

Thanks again for the great equipment and the outstanding service before, during, and after the sale.  I would make the trip through 8 states all over again.  We have some pictures of our equipment and some of our loads on our website and Facebook page.  It's binz2you.com.

Dave,

Your EZ 16,000#  trailer works great, in fact it works so great it out works two of your competitor trailers. We have used it for 2 1/2 years with very little problem unlike the others, It is built like a tank.  Keep up the good work.

Okay, Dave!!!!  Finally got this done.  It has only been
three years in the making!

We are a small disposal company on the coast of Maine and decided that we had to keep the "big guys" at bay.  We bought our first trailer in April, 2007, and to supplement that, we purchased a 2007 Chevrolet 1-ton 3500 HD (single rear wheels, diesel, Allison transmission).  We have been going steady ever since.  We do have one customer that we feel gives the full testimonial to the excellence and superiority of this trailer.  We were contracted to provide a 10-yard can for a roof shingle job of 30 square.  We dropped the can off down a narrow dirt road close to the shore.  The house was quite a distance away, down an embankment, and the can was placed on a small driveway turnout, about a foot from a 10-foot drop.

A few weeks later, a friend asked if we knew that the can was getting full as they had also torn down two chimneys!  We were finally asked to come haul the can away.  We drove to the location, backed the 1/4-mile into retrieve3the can.   We did our usual preparation - backed the forks in and hooked the can to the winch.  Usually we bring the can up to the first set of rollers and then begin to bring the rails down. This time, however, we started the winch going up and nothing moved except the truck!  We noticed that it needed help - only about a foot before that 10-foot drop - so we blocked the wheels of the truck and the trailer with 6X6's.  As I tried to winch the can on, my husband, who was driving the truck, wondered why I wasn't doing anything.

Fearing that the forks would snap, I lowered the rails and continued to winch the can onto the trailer.  The winch pulled the truck and trailer backwards, over all the blocking until the trailer finally got far enough under the can to allow it to find its home!  Luckily for us, the disposal site was only about a mile down the road.  We later found out that there was not only two chimneys in the can, but the crew had hauled  two layers of 30-square of old, two-tab asphalt shingles by hand in fish boxes up the embankment!

We reallyhave to say that we have never encountered a situation where our Nedland trailer has not performed above and beyond our expectations.  So much that, we just purchased a truck-mounted EZ20TH hoist.  All the folks at Nedland are ALWAYS around with an answer to any situation and their service and knowledge is explemary!

Dave, Cory, and all the great folks involved in building such superior products,

Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your products and more important how great your follow up is when a customer has a need.

We are a small company on the north side of Indianapolis  ( Zionsville, Carmel area )

that started off in excavating and building of new homes 15 years ago.  As our company grew we decided to haul our own trash, starting off with dump trailers.  After dealing with 12 dump trailers ( 15 yard ) other builders started hiring us to haul their trash.   Our niche in the market was DRIVEWAY SAFE DUMPSTERS.  As time went on we found the mini-rolloff trailers on the Internet and spent almost 1 year researching to find the best deal for the money.  Nedland's EZrolloff was not the lowest price on the market but it was by far the highest quality and most user friendly unit we researched.

In 2004 we bought our first EZrolloff 16,000# unit and five containers.  As we grew this branch of our company we continued to purchase both 15 and 20 yard open top containers.  In 2007 I called Dave to let him know that I was ready to buy another EZrolloff 16,000# unit but had a special request.  My family was going to be on a vacation on the Mississippi river in Iowa,  and we asked Dave if he would deliver this new unit and a 20 yard dumpster to us on our vacation.  We were shocked when Dave said he would love to take the trip to meet us, that way we were able to haul the new unit from Iowa to Indianapolis behind our truck.  We are now up to 40 dumpsters and 2 EZrolloff trailers.

When the new home market crashed in the fall of 2008, the mini-rolloff business was the only thing going steady now targeting the remodel market instead of new home construction.  Glad we made the choice to go with Nedland.  What other company can you call the owner directly on his cell phone on a Sunday with a problem and on Monday morning he will overnight express a part to get you back on the road making money.

Thanks again for all of your help, you have an incredible staff that takes pride in their work.

If a future customer in our part of the country would ever like a demo of your products, please have them call me directly. You don't need a salesperson, the quality sells itself.

Nedland Industries,
First of all L & L Site Service Inc. is a two man show meaning the two owners are the drivers, dispatchers, and everything else to make a successful roll-off business operate. This means that every hour of the day is accounted for and must be profitable. Nedland Ind. has made this happen with providing us with; a 1999 International roll-off truck hoist, 2006 Kenworth roll-off truck hoist, 2007 EZ roll-off trailer, 2009 Kenworth roll-off truck hoist, and fifty 20 yard roll-off containers all over a year and a half. Our business has been very successful due to the fact that the equipment purchased has been flawless in its operations, design, and strength. The time the trucks and trailer saves us daily by the ease of use and versatility has been great. With only a few issues that have arose were resolved with one phone call to Nedland Ind. The knowledge and support behind their products is second to none. The flexibility of Nedland to provide roll-off containers in a short amount of time is fascinating. As a company that stands behind our service and equipment we would be happy to talk to anybody who is looking into purchasing roll-off equipment from Nedland Ind. You will not be disappointed with any product Nedland Ind. has to offer.

To: The Nedland Family,
Hey Dave & Cory thanks for building me one awesome trailer. From the goose-neck hitch to the LED lights everything in between is first class workmanship. It does what it's suppose to do, work hard and handles heavy loads very well. I travel a long way to the landfill so having the weight and container centered on the axles makes traveling safe and amazingly comfortable. It's a new thing here, pulling it with my 1 ton truck it's very classy, people never seen anything like this, there use to the old time garbage haulers big and dirty trucks. My customers freak out when I arrive on there job site plus when you can put a container where your competitors can't even think of going it sets my company in a whole different league. Last but not least the remote control makes this operation SOLID it allows me to spot, drop, and pick-up in or out even picking up a can at a 45 degree angle is a breeze try that with a full size truck with out breaking something. Every equipment has it's limitation so far I haven't found one in this trailer. Will be waiting for a 40,000 lb trailer.

Thanks again to you and your crew GREAT JOB.

To: Nedland Industries,
I just wanted to put a thank you out to all the people of Nedland Industries who designed and built my 16,000 pound goose-neck roll-off trailer. It has been one of the most durable pieces of equipment I have ever had in my fleet. We have had no problems with the trailer itself or the 10 and 15 yard containers you built for us. This will be our fourth season with the unit and I expect we will probably hit the 300 mark for numbers of roll-off jobs in 2006, Again, hats off to a great product! It has been a pleasure dealing with your company and I look forward to doing business with you in the future!

To: Nedland Industries,
I contacted Nedland Industries last year regarding capability and modification of Nedland's EZrolloff hoists, trailers and containers. It was unique being able to speak with both the product engineer and company president. It is impossible to find a larger company salesman who could change their products for us.

Our need was to maximize product volume and weight in a container that can be hauled by a smaller, less costly, more fuel efficient vehicle, not requiring a CDL licensed driver. Our customers are under tremendous pressure to reduce cost, which they pass onto us. I had searched two other comparable products for more than a year and found Nedland's less costly and with a higher weight capacity, allowing us to reduce our cost almost 1/2. Your product also had a wireless remote control on the hydraulics allowing operation from a safer more visible distance.

We bought 5 trailers, a roll-off attachment for an International straight body, and about 100 - 15 and 20 yard containers (used with 3 Ford pickups). We added quick rolling covers (tarps). In Florida they are providing scrap metal collection and transportation for 40 locations. Another two are in Dallas servicing 30 locations in North Texas and one each in McAllen and El Paso servicing another ten locations. The operating range has been 250 miles. We have put 40,000 miles on one of the vehicles the past six months with only a brake line friction problem, which was easily corrected with plastic ties.

Regarding capacity, with the use of the Ford F250 and goose-neck hitch, (F350 not needed and less capacity) we can legally haul over 10,000 lbs, and I can drive it in Texas without a CDL. Even the International with hoist comes in at less than 26,000 GVW. The International can also pull an EZ trailer to service 2 sites-2 boxes on a single trip (CDL required). Regarding the hoist and frame, we overloaded one box but it picked up over 20,000 lbs. The International with trailer has come in at almost 40,000 lbs on one occasion. The only safety issue is to make sure that weight is evenly distributed or in the front of the box to prevent "fishtailing" which is a concern with any equipment.

Regarding cost, we had operated 40,000 capacity roll-off trucks hauling 10,000 lbs in a 20 yard box at full volume. The F250 with EZ trailer together are less than half the cost (50,000 vs. 115,000), the miles per gallon doubled (5 vs. over 10), the insurance 1/4, and the containers almost 1/2 the cost. It was an easy decision.

For low and medium density material it has been ideal. Also it can get into close quarter downtown city areas a regular truck can't. Now our salesperson can visit a customer in a nice looking F250, and service them at the same time.

To: Nedland Industries,
Gentleman, in regards to the EZrolloff trailer system our firm has purchased in the last year, all I have to say is Perfect!

In comparing purchasing Roll-off trucks, to purchasing these Roll-off trailers, there is no comparison.

First of all, the cost of an EZrolloff system is about 8 times less than a Roll-off truck, and since that is being pulled with a 1-ton pick-up, there is no insurance to pay, since it's covered by the vehicle that's pulling it.

Now, let's talk about fuel cost, Nedland trailer roll-off system allows us twice the fuel economy than that of a standard truck. We are currently averaging 10.3 miles per gallon.

If you compare 20yd roll-off box prices of the Nedland's, to the standard roll-off truck boxes, I know that you'll realize the savings.

As far as versatility, the Nedland roll-off trailers are by far the best in the industry. You can put these boxes in places that you wouldn't even think of with a standard roll-off truck. Because of the lower height of the EZrolloff trailer, it allows you to enter buildings for better placement for customers. Perfect for the larger jobs where contractors want them inside.

We advertise your roll-offs as driveway friendly equipment. When parking lots and drive -ways are a concern, the Nedland EZrolloff trailers comes in at about 1/6th the weight of a standard roll-off truck.

When dealing with residential customers, that's a key selling factor. As far as strength and durability, we've compared other roll-off trailers in the industry which appear comparable, only to find the Nedland trailers have the best structural integrity.

Currently, we operate two EZrolloff 16,000 trailers and 66-20yd roll-off boxes. On average, one trailer and driver can dump and return 12-15 boxes per day.

By going this route, instead of obtaining two roll-off trucks, is that because of the cost difference, we are able to realize profitability much sooner. In the competitive world we live in, this is a must.

Should anyone have any questions, please feel free to call us anytime for direct and honest answers in regards to Nedland Industries Ezrolloff Trailer systems.

To: Nedland Industries,
My name is Dennis Knepper. My wife and I own Bowersock Hauling, a small rural trash service, which also provides roll-off container service. The EZrolloff trailer was a great addition to our business. The unit is simple to operate and maintain. With the goose-neck hitch, I can get a container into real tight places. The home owners love the smaller cans for home improvement projects, as they are smaller and are easy to load. We have 8 and 10 cu. yd. containers and a flat bed, which we use to pick up used appliances. This unit saves me time, money and uses less energy loading the appliances and just tip to load. I am 50, so at my age this is very helpful. This unit will even make a U-turn in a caldesac. It literally will turn on a dime. Thank you Nedland, for such a well thought out quality unit. We love it. People always stop to watch this thing work. Everyone comments on how slick it is. We also took a tour of the plant when we made our purchase. Great staff that puts out quality work. Made in America. Thanks. Any questions feel free to call or e-mail us.

Sincerely,
